What are BETA Services?

BETA (business, engineering and technical assistance) Services combine Trine′s extensive knowledge and resources with students and companies to tackle real–world projects. We specialize in the innovation stage of product development. Project leaders guide students as they design and develop models using computer aided drafting (CAD). The CAD data creates 3–D plastic or actual cut–from–billet prototypes. The replicas are then used to assess fit, function, aesthetics and manufacturability. Testing and sourcing may then take place.

Support for BETA Services is generously provided by the Lilly Endowment, Inc. Sustaining Grant for the Initiative to Promote Opportunities through Educational Collaborations, Grant #2008-1285-000.
