Tired of addressing the symptoms and not the problem? This course on root cause analysis using the 8D approach will teach you the practical and effective steps needed to determine the actual underlying cause of a problem. Placing the emphasis where it is most effective, at the root, problem occurrences are minimized or eliminated altogether. Typical candidates for this course include quality assurance personnel, engineers, supervisors, maintenance, and safety staff.

Course highlights include:
  • Learn a systematic approach to root cause analysis
  • Data collection methodology
  • Understand the five "why's"
  • Be able to develop solution recommendations
  • Learn how to apply fault tree logic
  • Understand steps D1 through D8 of teh "8D"
Notes: There are no prerequisites for this class. The handout material and a certificate of completion are included with the course fee.
