The integration of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) into manufacturing is a growing trend. In this class, students will build on their basic knowledge of PLC systems and programming and examine some of the advanced commands through hands-on projects. Upon completion of this class, students should have comprehensive knowledge of PLC programming capabilities, commands, and troubleshooting.

Course highlights include:
  • Review ladder logic, RSLogix, and RSLinx
  • Program counters and timers
  • Program data handling instructions
  • Program math instructions
  • Program comparison instructions
  • Program DC stepper motor
  • Program AC motor
  • Test and troubleshoot programs
  • Custom data monitors

Notes: The prerequisite for this course is CC213. The handout material and a certificate of completion are included with the course fee. As a means to provide assessment and certification, a summary test can be provided at the completion of the class.  Please note that this is optional, adds one day to the course length and costs an additional $25.
